Peel Street – Using the clients treasured possessions

The client brief was to include treasured pieces collected over time in a way that exuded a contemporary vibe and sat comfortably alongside the period tributes throughout the home.

Respect to the Victorian era was upheld with the high ceilings, wide skirting boards and tall doorway architraves and clearly at ease alongside the more modern inclusion of shadow joinery and square set plaster finish throughout.

The colour palette selected on walls and ceiling throughout provided a natural backdrop for the inclusion of stunning statement pieces collected over time. Some of the pieces are quite exceptional, and this colour palette provided essential flow and continuity for the home.

The main bedroom features the owners prized Italian Fortuny light fitting of handprinted silk. A strong statement of European glamour. This luxurious theme continued on with the bedhead choice from the Heatherly design range in a sumptuous Peacock green velvet and was grounded by the addition of mid-century style bedside tables with marble top, another nod to the European charm of the room. Modern bedside lamps were chosen to tie into the contemporary feel.

Another bedroom continued on with the velvet bedhead theme, however has more emphasis on a contemporary vibe. The inclusion of luxury textiles provides the flow and connection between rooms with the twist being the restored fireplace providing the colourway for the choice of fabrics and accessories.

A great example of how Savvy works with clients providing styling and decorating solutions extremely focused on individual client needs.
